How far could it stray

The box is back.

There is no red thread,

only a red ball to follow.

Hard to navigate arrays in which

anything could literally be anything.

There is designation one can hang onto,

with thanks to an arbitrary indexical presence.

As a friend recently said

–about something else altogether–
