RESIDENCY: rr-dialogues

MARKING TRANSFORMATION Performative Architecture on site 1:1 We are glad to be back already this week to present the development of our one-year residency at Kulturfolger, Zürich. Join us for the fourth part of our one-year growing exhibition on the topic 'MATERIALISATION OF INTENTIONS'. We will go more deeply into one of the three fragments of simulation on site, scale 1:1, that we are studying during the course of the research: baugespann. A baugespann marks the contour of a new building with thin aluminium poles, leaving space to imagine it’s volume, edges, density, transparancy, height as well as the new space between the existing context and the new development. By studying this almost ‘invisible’ presence, we try to imagine the impact the future development will have on site, when being built. This time our special guest is the great dancer Emma Hoette coming from London. Emma is a dancer and storyteller: an artist that uses her body, clothing and film to weave narratives. We have invited her to go in dialogue with us on site, where we will work on a video using different methods (tools to 'draw' on site and the body to experience and measure) to 'mark transformation', and to present a performance in the gallery, in dialogue with the exhibited work. www.emmahoette.com Hope to see you there! FRIDAY 7. JUNE: 19h - Exhibition 20h - Presentation by rr (Alexe Soleil and Caterina Viguera) 20:30h - Performance by Emma Hoette & drinks SATURDAY 8. JUNE: 16h - Round table --- READ MORE: www.rotativeresearch.org
